Well Spoken Sculpin

Because it’s soooo articulate(d). So I set out to tie a better sculpin pattern, trying to find the best combination of profile, realism, and movement. This pattern was the result. It has straight-line pulsating movement with the palmered hen hackle body, squirrel zonker/hen feather tail, and silicone appendages. A lightweight artticulated tail paired with a dumbell eye’d head gives it the vertical darting movement through the water column that mimics the naturals. This fly fishes as good as it looks, and damn does it look good. Front hook size 2, back hook size 4.
