About Us

Our flies are professionally tied and battle tested

Each pattern we make and bring to market is tested on the water make sure they catch fish. I’ll only ever sell something if I feel it’s unique, or is a better alternative to what is out there already. These are the fly patterns that I fish regularly and they all have a place in my own box.

Our flies are hand-tied here locally in Utah, specifically at my vise on my desk. I use premium hooks, beads, hackle, and other materials to tie the best flies I possibly can. These patterns are either my creation or my unique vision on other established patterns. The big box stores usually have flies tied overseas, and they cheap out on the hooks and materials. The quality of materials, and ability to tie cleanly has a huge impact on the fish catching ability of the fly. Sharp, strong hooks keep fish pinned and good materials and tie in techniques help presentation and durability.

Hooks are sourced from Tiemco, Daiichi, Firehole, Fulling Mill, Fasna, MFC, and Mustad Signature. Tungsten Beads are used on all flies where the description states they are suitable for Euro Nymphing. Brass beads are used elsewhere. All hackle is Whiting or Metz.

When fly fishing you should always pinch down or tie on barbless hooks because: 1) Regulations often mandate it; 2) It reduces fish handling time and removal damage; and 3) Safety (we’re all going to inevitably hook ourselves, when it happens you’ll be thankful they were barbless).
