My ABSOLUTE favorite midge nymph. It’s on my indicator rig more than any other fly and gets the picky nymph eaters to commit. Works great during hatch and non-hatch periods. It’s hard to understate how many nice fish this fly has caught for me. Natural quill body with a UV resin coat for durability and highlighting segmentation. A little Krystal Flash for sparkle and attention getting.

Great, natural looking midge. Caught some on Wyoming green with this. Loving all the flies I’ve purchased here.

Well done indeed. I have a large book on midges, hundreds of patterns each with a fancy name, none with any indication that the pattern has been tested to determine whether it attracted trout. Only the zebra midge has consistently worked for me. But this winter I am very much looking forward to tying and fishing your TF Midge.

This midge pattern works wonders. I use this on my midge tip lines and use it frequently on a dry dropper rig. I brought in quite a few over the last weekend on a dry dropper rig on a Stillwater that is almost frozen over.
