This is my personal take on a Euro Style Jig version John Barr’s tried and true pattern. Riding hook point up, this fly excels when Euro Nymphing before and during a mayfly hatch. Available in BWO and PMD colors. It is one of my absolute confidence patterns. My pattern has an antron tail, a turkey biot body, and an SLF Prism dubbed thorax that elevates the traditional pattern into different levels of buggy, flashy goodness. This is a must have on our local tailwaters if you are Euro Nymphing during a mayfly hatch. Tied on a jig hook with a 2.5mm tungsten slotted bead.
